How to Save a Location on Google Maps
Google Maps is a great tool, not only for finding your way around but also for locating places and saving them for future reference. Whether you’re looking for your favorite restaurant, a hidden gem, or just a place you want to remember, Google Maps can help you get there. In this article, we’ll take a look at how to save a location on Google Maps.
Step 1: Open Google Maps
The first thing you need to do is open Google Maps on your device. This can be done using either a desktop computer, a smartphone, or a tablet.
Step 2: Search for the Location
Once you have opened Google Maps, the next step is to search for the location you want to save. You can do this by entering the address, or even the name of the place, into the search bar at the top of the page.
Step 3: Select the Location
Once you have found the location you want to save, you can select it by clicking on the red pin icon that appears on the map. A box will appear, with the name of the location and other details.
Step 4: Save the Location
To save the location, click on the “Save” button that appears in the box. You will be given the option to choose a list to save the location to, or to create a new list.
Step 5: Name the Location
You can also give the location a name, to make it easier to find later on. To do this, click on the “Edit” button next to the name of the location in the box. You can then enter a name for the location, and click “Save.”
Step 6: Access Saved Locations
To access your saved locations, go to the menu in Google Maps and click on “Your Places.” This will show you all the lists you have created, and the locations within them. You can also access your saved locations using the Google Maps app on a mobile device.
With these simple steps, you can quickly and easily save any location on Google Maps. This is a great way to keep track of places you want to visit again, or to create a list of your favorite spots. So next time you come across a great restaurant, a beautiful park, or a cool landmark, be sure to save it on Google Maps.
