How to Get Started Using Spotify Duo
Spotify Duo is a premium plan that allows two people to share an account and enjoy their own personalized playlists, recommendations, and podcasts. It is a great option for couples, roommates, or best friends who love to listen to music together. If you are interested in getting started with Spotify Duo, here is what you need to do:
Step 1: Check if Spotify Duo is available in your country
Spotify Duo is currently available in selected countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, and several European countries. To see if it is available in your country, visit the Spotify website and look for the Duo section. If it’s available, you’ll be able to sign up.
Step 2: Sign up for Spotify Duo
To sign up for Spotify Duo, one of the account holders must have an existing Spotify Premium account. If you don’t have one yet, you can sign up for the Premium plan first. Then, the primary account holder can invite the second account holder to join the Duo plan. Simply go to the account page, click on “Premium for Family” (Duo is part of this), and enter the second account holder’s email address. The second account holder will receive an invitation email with instructions on how to set up their account.
Step 3: Set up your personalized accounts
Once both accounts have been set up, you can start customizing your playlists and listening preferences. Each account holder will have their own separate account, with their own personalized playlists, recommendations, and podcasts. This ensures that both account holders can listen to their favorite music without interfering with each other’s preferences.
Step 4: Start listening!
Now that you’re all set up, it’s time to start listening! You and your partner or friend can share playlists and recommendations, discover new music together, and enjoy your favorite podcasts. With Spotify Duo, you’ll never run out of new things to listen to.
