How to Change Your Amazon Account to a Different Email
Amazon is one of the largest e-commerce marketplaces in the world, with millions of users buying and selling on a daily basis. If you have an Amazon account, you may need to change the email address associated with it for various reasons. Maybe you recently got a new email address, or you want to use a different email for your Amazon account for better organization. Changing your email on Amazon is a straightforward process that only takes a few minutes. In this article, we’ll show you how to change your Amazon account to a different email.
Step 1: Log in to Your Amazon Account
The first step is to log in to your Amazon account. Go to Amazon.com, and on the top right corner of the homepage, click on “Account & Lists.” Enter your username or email address associated with the account, followed by “Next.” On the next screen, enter your password, then click “Sign in.”
Step 2: Access Your Account Settings
Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be directed to your Amazon account dashboard. On the right-hand side of the screen, you should see “Account & Lists” again. Hover your mouse over this tab, and from the drop-down menu, select “Your Account.”
Step 3: Change Your Email
On your account page, scroll down to the “Settings” section, and click on “Login & Security.” Here, you’ll see a button labeled “Edit” next to your current email address. Click on that button, and you’ll be prompted to enter your new email address.
Enter your new email address in the field provided, and click “Save Changes.” You’ll then receive an email at your new address, asking you to confirm the change. Open the email, and click on the link provided in the message to verify the change.
Step 4: Confirm Your New Email
Once you’ve clicked on the verification link, you’ll be taken back to your Amazon account page. Here, you’ll see your new email address listed under “Email Address.” Your old email address will be displayed in gray, with the words “(Secondary Email)” next to it.
You can now use your new email address to sign in to your Amazon account. Your order history, payment methods, and other account details will still be available to you with the new email associated with the account.
