How to Cast to Xbox One and Xbox Series From Your Smartphone
Casting to your Xbox One or Xbox Series from your smartphone is a great way to enjoy the content you have on your phone on a larger TV screen. Many people do not know how to cast to their Xbox, but it is a simple process. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to cast to your Xbox One or Xbox Series from your smartphone.
1. Check your Xbox settings
The first thing you need to do is to make sure that your Xbox settings are configured for casting. To do this, open the settings menu on your Xbox One or Xbox Series, and navigate to the “Devices & accessories” section. In this section, you will find the “Device streaming” settings. Make sure that “Allow game streaming to other devices” and “Allow Play To streaming” are both turned on.
2. Install the Xbox app
The second step is to install the Xbox app on your smartphone. The Xbox app is available for free on the App Store and Google Play Store. Once you have installed the app, sign in to your Xbox Live account.
3. Connect to your Xbox
The next step is to connect your smartphone to your Xbox. To do this, make sure that your smartphone and Xbox are on the same Wi-Fi network. Open the Xbox app on your phone and tap on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen. From there, select “Console.” The app will then search for nearby Xbox consoles. Once it finds your Xbox, tap on it to connect.
4. Cast to your Xbox
Once you have connected your smartphone to your Xbox, you can start casting. Open the video or media you want to cast on your smartphone. Tap on the cast icon, which is usually located in the top-right corner of the screen. From there, select your Xbox console from the list of available devices. The content should now play on your Xbox.
5. Use your phone as a remote
While casting, you can use your smartphone as a remote control. This means that you can pause, play, rewind, or fast-forward the content you are watching directly from your phone.
