Great Education Leaders are Inspirational
Confront it that it is difficult to adore every aspect of your job regardless of what you do. There will be aspects of your work that you dislike. Teachers, for example, enjoy assisting students in their academic development but abhor interfering parents, misbehaving students, and authoritarian leaders. They also despise being grossly underpaid.
A Guide to Inspiring Others
On the other hand, great educational leaders can motivate their staff and ensure that they understand that what they are doing matters more than they think. They can portray teaching as a respectable vocation with many more benefits than downsides. They can help instructors maintain their eyes on the big reward, which includes assisting students in becoming good citizens and life success.
We lay the groundwork for all of this as instructors. Even when it appears like the profession of education is being targeted on all fronts, we must be capable of motivating our teachers and colleagues to understand this. For example, we have been blamed for being pretentious babysitters who do not meet professional standards. This is used as an excuse by them to keep our compensation packages low. However, with the help of educational leaders, school and district officials and teachers are pushing back hard. Teachers have protested in various states and received increases as a result, and I anticipate seeing more of this in the future years.
A Little Homework
Make it your mission in the following three months to motivate as many individuals as possible in your school community. Encourage everyone you can, complimenting a student or teacher for a work well performed or delivering a motivational speech to the school baseball team. What do you observe after a month? People should enliven when you walk into the room because you have inspired them to improve themselves and be their better versions. You will also observe that student and instructor productivity has increased dramatically. You have established a school atmosphere where everyone supports and encourages one another. All of this was accomplished in three months.
