Did You Know Your iPhone Has a Boomerang Feature for Live Photos?
As an iPhone user, you might be familiar with Live Photos – a feature that captures a short video clip along with a regular still photo. But did you know that your iPhone also has a boomerang feature for Live Photos? That’s right – you can now create boomerang-style animated GIFs with just a few taps on your iPhone.
Firstly, you need to make sure that the Live Photos feature is turned on. To do this, simply launch the Camera app, and look for the Live Photos icon at the top of the screen. If it’s yellow, then you’re good to go. Next, take a Live Photo by pressing and holding the shutter button for a few seconds. Keep in mind that Live Photos capture a few seconds of video, so make sure to keep the camera steady during the entire length of the capture.
Once you’ve taken the Live Photo, go to the Photos app and select it from your Camera Roll. Swipe up on the photo to reveal a menu of options, which includes the boomerang feature. Tap on the “Loop” option, and you’ll see your Live Photo transformed into a boomerang-style animated GIF that plays forwards and backwards in a loop. You can also adjust the length of the loop by dragging the slider left or right.
The best part about the boomerang feature for Live Photos is that it’s easy to share your creations on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook. Just tap on the share icon, and select the platform you want to share it on. Your boomerang GIF will automatically save to your camera roll as well.
But why stop at just one boomerang? You can make multiple boomerang-style animated GIFs from a single Live Photo, by repeating the steps above and selecting different sections of the Live Photo to loop. This way, you can create a series of fun and entertaining boomerangs that will surely impress your friends.
