All of the shows are interconnected and feature iconic characters from the Marvel Comics universe. From dark and gritty Daredevil to the light-hearted antics of The Punisher, Marvel’s Netflix shows have something for every type of fan. - Iron Fist (2017-2018)
Iron Fist stars Finn Jones as Danny Rand, a billionaire who returns to New York City after being presumed dead for 15 years. Danny is determined to reclaim his family’s company and right the wrongs he believes his family committed. The show struggled in its first season and received a lot of criticism for its pacing and Danny’s character development. However, the second season received more positive reviews for being a dramatic improvement.
- Defenders (2017)
Defenders is a crossover event that unites the heroes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. The four heroes team up to take down the Hand, a villainous organization that seeks to take over New York City. The show is filled with action, but it lacked the chemistry between the characters that the individual shows have.
- The Punisher (2017-2019)
Jon Bernthal stars as Frank Castle, a vigilante who is seeking revenge against those who killed his family. The Punisher is a dark and violent series that explores Frank’s struggle with PTSD and his desire for justice. The show balances brutal action sequences with emotional moments and made for a powerful adaptation of the comic book character.

Mike Colter stars as Luke Cage, a Harlem-based superhero with bulletproof skin and superhuman strength. The show explores Luke’s life as a modern-day hero and addresses issues of race and power in the superhero world. The show also features a memorable and charismatic villain in Mahershala Ali’s Cottonmouth.
- Jessica Jones (2015-2019)
Krysten Ritter stars as Jessica Jones, a former superhero and current private investigator who struggles with PTSD. The show explores heavy themes such as trauma, addiction, and abusive relationships. Jessica Jones is a complex and flawed character who makes for a compelling protagonist. The show’s first season is widely regarded as one of the best superhero shows ever made.
