Steam’s Remote Play Anywhere feature is a fantastic way to play your favorite games on any compatible device. This feature allows you to stream games from your PC to your mobile devices so that you can play them on the go. Whether you’re at home or out and about, you can enjoy your favorite games without being tied to your computer. In this article, we’ll give you a step-by-step guide on how to use Steam’s Remote Play Anywhere feature.
Step 1: Enable Remote Play in Steam Settings
The first thing you need to do is make sure that Remote Play is enabled in Steam settings. To do this, open Steam and click on the “Steam” menu at the top left corner of the window. Select “Settings” from the dropdown menu. In the settings window, click on the “Remote Play” tab. Make sure the “Enable Remote Play” checkbox is checked.
Step 2: Pair a Compatible Device
Next, you’ll need to pair a device with your PC. This can be done through the Steam Link app on your mobile phone or tablet, or through a compatible Steam Controller. To pair a device using the Steam Link app, download and install the app on your device. Open the app and select “Start Playing.” The app will look for available Steam clients on your network. Select your PC and follow the on-screen prompts to pair the devices.
Step 3: Start Playing
Once your device is paired with your PC, you can start playing your games. Simply launch the game from Steam on your PC and it will start streaming to your paired device. You can use a gamepad or keyboard and mouse to play the game on your device. The controls will be mapped to your device automatically.
Step 4: Adjust Video and Audio Settings
If you’re experiencing lag or poor video quality, you can adjust the video and audio settings in Steam’s Remote Play settings. Open Steam on your PC and click on the “Steam” menu at the top left of the window. Select “Settings” from the dropdown menu and click on the “Remote Play” tab. Here, you can adjust the video and audio settings to improve the quality of your streaming experience.
Step 5: Disconnect When Finished
When you’re finished playing, make sure to disconnect your device from your PC. To do this, simply close the Steam Link app on your mobile device or disconnect your Steam Controller from your PC.
