How to Turn Off Sticky Keys
Sticky Keys is a feature in Windows operating system that helps users who have difficulty pressing multiple keys at the same time. However, if you do not need Sticky Keys, it can be an annoying distraction. Fortunately, it is possible to turn off Sticky Keys. Here are the steps to turn off Sticky Keys on your Windows PC.
Method 1: Turning off Sticky Keys in Windows Settings
Step 1: Click on the Start menu and open Settings.
Step 2: Select Ease of Access.
Step 3: Click on Keyboard and then scroll down to the Sticky Keys option.
Step 4: Toggle off the switch for ‘Press one key at a time for keyboard shortcuts’ and ‘Allow the shortcut key to start Sticky Keys’.
Step 5: Close the Settings window, and Sticky Keys should now be turned off.
Method 2: Turning off Sticky Keys from the Control Panel
Step 1: Press the Windows key + R, simultaneously to open the Run dialog box.
Step 2: Type in ‘Control Panel’ and click OK.
Step 3: Click on the Ease of Access option.
Step 4: Click on ‘Change how your keyboard works’ under the Ease of Access Center.
Step 5: Uncheck the box next to ‘Turn on Sticky Keys’ and click Apply.
Step 6: Close the Control Panel window, and Sticky Keys should now be turned off.
Method 3: Turning off Sticky Keys from the Keyboard
Step 1: Press the Shift key five times in a row.
Step 2: A window will pop up asking you if you want to turn on Sticky Keys. Click on ‘No’ and then close the window.
Step 3: Sticky Keys should now be turned off.
