How to Make App Folders on Android
Android is one of the most popular operating systems in use today. It is an extremely versatile operating system and allows users to customize their smartphones to suit their needs. And one of the useful features Android offers is the ability to create folders to organize your apps. In this article, we will guide you on how to create app folders on Android and keep your apps perfectly organized.
Step 1: Find the apps you want to put in a folder
Before creating a folder, it’s essential to know which apps you want to include. The apps could be any category, for example, social media, productivity, games, or messaging.
Step 2: Long-press an app
To create a folder, you need to long-press on one of the apps you want to include in your folder. This will trigger a menu with several options; select the “Create Folder” option.
Step 3: Drag the app to the new folder
Once you’ve selected “Create Folder,” the app will be automatically added to a new folder, and the folder will be automatically named based on the app’s category. You can then drag other apps into the folder.
Step 4: Name your folder
If you want to change the default name of the folder, you can do so by opening the folder and tapping on the folder name. The folder name will become editable, allowing you to rename the folder to fit your needs.
Step 5: Add or remove apps from the folder
All you have to do to add or remove apps is to open the folder and drag the app in—or out—of the folder. You can also long-press an app to drag it to another folder or move it back to the home screen.
Step 6: Customize your folder
You can customize your folder in various ways, such as changing the folder icon. To change the folder icon, open the folder and tap on the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. Select “Edit,” and a new menu will appear. Choose “Icon” and pick the icon you prefer.
These six steps will help you create a folder to organize your apps in Android. Once you’ve had a chance to try it out, you’ll find it is an incredibly useful tool for managing and accessing your apps quickly and easily.
