Ways to Open the Sound Settings on a Windows PC
Sound is an important aspect of any computer system, and it’s necessary to keep it in good working order. Sound settings on a Windows PC need to be adjusted from time to time, whether it’s adjusting volume levels or testing playing sounds. To open sound settings on a Windows PC, there are several methods:
- Through the Taskbar – Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, and select “Open Sound settings”. This will open the sound settings page of the Windows Settings app.
- Using the Settings App – Open the “Settings” app from the Start menu or press the “Windows + I” keys. From there, navigate to the “System” settings section and select “Sound”. This will open the sound settings.
- Using the Run Box – Press “Windows + R” keys to open the Run box. Type “mmsys.cpl” in the Run box and press “Enter”. This will directly open the Sound settings box.
- Using the Control Panel – Open the Control Panel from the Start menu and select “Hardware and Sound”. Under the “Sound” section, select “Manage audio devices” to open the Sound settings page.
- Using the Search Bar – Click on the “Search” bar on the taskbar and type “Sound settings” in the search box. Select “Sound settings” from the search results. Alternatively, you can type “sound” in the search box and select “Sound settings” from the results.
