Levels of Interactivity in Online Learning

Active learning is the most interactive form of learning. Active learners are engaged with the material and are able to form their own opinions and reactions to the material. This can be a problem because active learning is not always effective. For example, students who are active learners may not understand the material because they are not able to focus.
Engaged learning is the most effective form of learning. Engaged learners are so engaged with the material that they are able to apply the information to their own lives. This can be a problem because engaged learning is not always easy. For example, engaged learners may be unable to focus on the material.
However, the benefits of engaged learning are worth the effort. Engaged learners are better learners because they are able to learn more effectively and retain information longer.
