Key Traits Of Learning Organizations
There are five key traits of effective learning organizations. They are learner-centered, goal-focused, participative, collective, and self-organizing.
Learner-Centeredness: Learning organizations are designed to be learner-centered. This means that the organization’s focus is on the needs of the learners, not on the needs of the organization itself. The organization provides the resources and opportunities for the learners to learn, and the learners are responsible for their own learning.
Goal-Focusedness: Learning organizations are goal-focused. This means that the organization’s goals are specific, measurable, and achievable. The organization sets clear goals for the learners and provides clear instructions and guidance on how to achieve these goals.
Participative Learning: Learning organizations are participative. This means that the learners are involved in the learning process. They are actively involved in the design and implementation of the learning activities, and they have the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with other learners.
Collective Learning: Learning organizations are collective. This means that the learners work together to achieve the goals of the organization. They share their resources and knowledge, and they cooperate to solve problems.
Self-Organizing: Learning organizations are self-organizing. This means that the learners are responsible for their own learning. They are able to organize themselves to achieve the goals of the organization, and they are able to take control of their own learning environment.
