How to Use Snapchat’s Shared Stories Feature
As the popularity of Snapchat continues to grow, so do its features. One of the latest features added to the platform is the Shared Stories feature. This feature allows users to collaborate on a single story, creating a collaborative and community-driven experience. However, many Snapchat users may not be sure how to use the Shared Stories feature. Therefore, this article will provide a step-by-step guide for using this feature.
Step 1: Create a Shared Story
To create a Shared Story, click on the ghost icon in the top left corner of the main camera screen. This will open your profile page. From there, click on the icon that looks like a plus sign (+) in the upper right corner. This will take you to a new screen where you can create your Shared Story. Tap on “Create Story” and follow the prompts to customize the settings for your Shared Story. Here you can choose who can contribute to the story, the name of the story, and the cover photo for the story.
Step 2: Add to a Shared Story
Once you have created a Shared Story, adding to it is simple. Click on the “Add to Story” icon on your main camera screen. From there, you will see the option to add to your own story or to the Shared Story you created. Select your Shared Story and proceed to take a photo or record a video as you would for a regular story. You can continue to add content to the Shared Story, and others who have access can also contribute to the story.
Step 3: View a Shared Story
To view a Shared Story, click on the “Discover” icon on the main camera screen. From there, scroll down to find the “Live” section and you will see the Shared Stories that are available to you. Select the Shared Story you want to view and watch as it plays out in real-time.
Step 4: Manage a Shared Story
As the creator of a Shared Story, you have some control over who can contribute to the story. To manage your Shared Story, go to your profile page and click on the icon for the Shared Story you want to manage. From there, you can add or remove contributors, edit the name and cover photo, and change the settings for the story.
