How to Turn Off iCloud for Apple Pages
iCloud is a powerful cloud-based storage and syncing service offered by Apple that seamlessly synchronizes your documents across all your devices. Apple Pages, an excellent word processing application, is also integrated with iCloud, allowing you to access your documents anywhere, anytime. However, if you’d like to keep your Pages documents off iCloud, you can disable the iCloud syncing feature. This article will guide you through the process of turning off iCloud for Apple Pages.
Step 1: Open Pages Application
Launch the Pages application on your Mac or iOS device.
Step 2: Go to Preferences
On your Mac, click Pages in the menu bar, and then select Preferences. On your iOS device, tap your Apple ID profile at the top of the screen and choose Pages from the list of apps.
Step 3: Go to General section
In the Preferences window, choose the General tab if it is not already selected.
Step 4: Uncheck ‘Use iCloud’
Under the General tab, you should see a checkbox labeled “Use iCloud.” It might be checked by default. To disable iCloud syncing for Pages, simply uncheck this checkbox.
Step 5: Choose ‘Keep on this iPad/Mac’
When you uncheck “Use iCloud,” you’ll be prompted to choose whether you want to keep these documents on your device or delete them from iCloud. If you want to keep them, select “Keep on this Mac” or “Keep on this iPad.” If you choose to delete them from the cloud, select “Delete from iCloud” option.
And that’s it! Now Pages will no longer sync with iCloud, and the documents will be saved to your device only.
