How to Turn Off Blue Light on iPhone
In today’s world, we are surrounded by screens that emit blue light, including our iPhones. While blue light is known for keeping us awake and alert during the day, it can interfere with our ability to fall asleep if used close to bedtime.
Fortunately, iPhone users can turn off blue light with just a few clicks. Here is how to do it:
1) Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2) Tap “Display & Brightness.”
3) Scroll down and tap “Night Shift.”
4) Toggle on “Scheduled” to customize when Night Shift is turned on and off or “Manually Enable Until” to activate Night Shift for a set duration.
5) Adjust the color temperature slider to your desired level. Moving the slider to the right will increase the warmth (orange hue) of the screen, while moving it to the left will decrease the warmth (blue hue).
6) You can also turn on “True Tone” from the Display & Brightness settings to have the iPhone adjust the color temperature of the screen based on ambient light for a more natural viewing experience.
By taking advantage of the Night Shift feature on your iPhone, you can reduce blue light exposure and promote better sleep hygiene. So the next time you’re scrolling through social media before bed, remember to turn on Night Shift to enjoy a more restful night’s sleep.
