How to Stream Your Xbox Series X|S to a PC
Gaming is no longer a solitary pastime. With the rise of online gaming communities, people from all over the world can now connect, communicate, and enjoy gaming together. One way to improve your gaming experience is by streaming games directly from your Xbox Series X|S console to your PC. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of streaming your favorite games.
- Check Your Requirements
The first step to streaming your Xbox to your PC is to make sure you have all the requirements. You will need an Xbox Series X|S console, a Windows 10 PC, and a strong and stable internet connection. You’ll also need to have the Xbox app downloaded on your PC.
- Connect Your Xbox and PC
The next step is to connect your Xbox to your PC. You have two options: wired or wireless.
For wired connection: Connect your Xbox Series X|S console to your PC using an Ethernet cable. This cable should be plugged into the Ethernet port on your console and into the Ethernet port on your PC.
For wireless connection: Make sure both your Xbox and PC are connected to the same network. Then, on your Xbox console, navigate to ‘Settings’ > ‘Devices & Connections’ > ‘Remote Features’, and toggle on ‘Enable Remote Features.’ After doing this, go to your PC and open the Xbox app. Click on the ‘Connection’ icon at the top right corner of the app and select your Xbox console from the list of available devices.
- Start Your Streaming
Once your Xbox and PC are connected, it’s time to start streaming your games. Open the Xbox app on your PC and navigate to ‘Remote Play’ in the ‘Connection’ tab. Select your Xbox console and click ‘Connect.’ Since streaming requires a strong and stable internet connection, it is recommended to have both your Xbox and PC connected via Ethernet cables.
- Customize Your Streaming Settings
You can customize your streaming settings to improve the quality of your gaming experience. From the Xbox app, click on the ‘Settings’ icon and then click on ‘Remote Play.’ From here, you can adjust the streaming quality to either ‘Low,’ ‘Medium,’ or ‘High’ depending on your internet connection’s capability.
If you’re experiencing any latency or lag, you can also modify the streaming resolution by going to ‘Settings’ > ‘Devices & Accessories’ > ‘Remote Play.’ Here, you can adjust the streaming resolution to a lower quality, which can help improve your streaming performance.
- Start Gaming
Once you’ve completed all the above steps, you’re ready to start gaming. From the Xbox app on your PC, you can navigate your Xbox console just as if you were playing directly on it. This means you can access your ‘Game Library,’ ‘Achievements,’ and ‘Friends List’ seamlessly.
