How to Stop Apple Music From Automatically Playing
If you’re an Apple Music user, you may have noticed that the app automatically begins playing music when you open it. While this can be a handy feature for some, it can also be annoying or disruptive to others. Thankfully, there’s a simple way to stop Apple Music from automatically playing, and it only takes a few moments to do.
The first step to stopping Apple Music from automatically playing is to open the app on your device. Once you’re in the app, tap on the “For You” tab, which is located at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. This will take you to your personalized Apple Music feed.
Next, navigate to the top right-hand corner of the “For You” tab and locate the “Autoplay” option. If it’s enabled, you’ll see a blue “On” button next to it. Tap on this button to turn off Autoplay.
Once you’ve turned off Autoplay, Apple Music will no longer automatically begin playing music when you open the app. Instead, you’ll need to manually select what you want to listen to. If you want to listen to music in your Apple Music library or browse for new music, simply tap on the “Library” or “Browse” tabs, respectively.
It’s worth noting that turning off Autoplay in Apple Music doesn’t affect other features of your device, like the Music app or the control center. If you want to stop music from automatically playing in these areas as well, you’ll need to adjust the settings for those apps separately.
In summary, stopping Apple Music from automatically playing is a quick and easy process. Simply navigate to the “For You” tab in the app, locate the “Autoplay” option, and turn it off. With this setting disabled, you’ll be able to choose what you want to listen to without having to worry about the app starting music on its own.
