How to Minimize and Maximize Apps on a Windows Device
As a Windows device user, there may be times where you need to minimize or maximize an app. Perhaps you need to switch to another app quickly, or maybe you want to focus on one app and maximize its size. Fortunately, Windows makes it easy to minimize and maximize apps, no matter what device you’re using. Here’s how.
Minimizing Apps
There are a few ways to minimize apps on a Windows device. The first method is to click on the minimize button in the top right corner of the app window. This will send the app to the taskbar, where it will continue to run in the background until you need to bring it back up.
Another way to minimize an app is to use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Tab. This will bring up a list of all the open apps on your device. Simply press the Tab key to cycle through the apps until you find the one you want to minimize, then release the Alt key. The app will immediately minimize and be sent to the taskbar.
Maximizing Apps
To maximize an app on a Windows device, there are a few different methods. The first is to click on the maximize button in the top right corner of the app window. This will expand the app to fill your screen, giving you the maximum amount of space to work with.
Another way to maximize an app is to double-click on the title bar at the top of the app window. This will also expand the app to fill your screen.
If you’re using a Windows 10 device, there is a third way to maximize an app: using the Snap Assist feature. Simply click and hold on the top of the app window and drag it to the side of the screen. This will cause the app to take up half the screen. From here, you can drag another app to the other side of the screen to work on two apps at the same time.
