How to Find and Open the Mac Applications Folder
As a Mac user, you will likely find yourself needing to access the Applications folder to install, update, or simply launch applications on your computer. In this article, we will discuss how to locate and open the Applications folder on your Mac.
Method 1: Using the Finder
1. Click the Finder icon in your Dock, or press Command + N to open a new Finder window.
2. From the menu bar, select Go > Applications, or press Shift + Command + A.
This will take you directly to the Applications folder and you will see a list of all the applications installed on your Mac.
Method 2: Using Spotlight
1. Click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of your screen, or press Command + Space.
2. Type in “Applications” in the search bar and press Enter.
This will show you a list of search results including the Applications folder. Simply click on it to open the folder.
Method 3: Using Terminal
1. Open Terminal by searching for it in Spotlight or by navigating to Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
2. Type in the following command exactly as it appears:
cd /Applications/
3. Press Enter and you will be taken directly to the Applications folder.
