How to Enable Wi-Fi Calling on a Samsung Phone
If you’re struggling with weak signal reception or don’t want to pay extra charges for calls, then enabling Wi-Fi calling on your Samsung phone is a good idea. Wi-Fi calling makes use of available Wi-Fi networks to route your calls instead of relying on cellular networks. Here’s how to enable it on your Samsung phone:
Step 1: Go to the Settings app
Open the Settings app from your Samsung phone’s home screen or app drawer.
Step 2: Select “Connections”
Scroll down until you see the “Connections” option and tap on it.
Step 3: Tap on “Wi-Fi calling.”
You’ll find this option on the Connections menu. Tap on it to proceed.
Step 4: Enable Wi-Fi calling
You’ll be presented with a toggle switch for Wi-Fi calling. Turn it on to enable Wi-Fi calling on your Samsung device.
Step 5 (optional): Set your Wi-Fi preferences
Under the Wi-Fi calling option, you’ll find the Preferences tab. Here, you can customize your Wi-Fi calling settings such as whether to use Wi-Fi calling on roaming, call continuity settings, and Wi-Fi networks allowed to be used for calls.
Congratulations, you now know how to enable Wi-Fi calling on your Samsung phone! However, keep in mind that Wi-Fi calling may not be supported by all cellular carriers. Contact your carrier first to ensure that this option is available.
