How to Disable Comments on Your YouTube Videos
If you are a YouTube creator, you are probably aware of the negative comments that can sometimes appear on your videos. Trolls, haters, or just plain rude commenters can ruin the community and conversation you want to promote on your YouTube channel. Luckily, there is a way to disable comments on your YouTube videos.
Step 1: Go to YouTube Studio
Log in to your YouTube account and go to YouTube Studio. You can find it by clicking the icon on the top right corner of your screen.
Step 2: Find the Video Manager
On the left-hand side of your YouTube Studio, scroll down and find the “Videos” option under “Content.” Click on it to find the specific video you want to disable comments on.
Step 3: Click on “Editor”
Once you have selected the video, click on the “Editor” button. This will take you to the YouTube video editor.
Step 4: Click “Advanced Settings”
From the YouTube video editor, find the “Advanced Settings” option. You can find it under the video preview on the right side of your screen.
Step 5: Disable comments
Under the “Advanced Settings,” scroll down until you find “Comments and ratings.” From there, uncheck the box that says “Allow comments.” This will disable comments on your video.
Step 6: Save changes
Once you have disabled comments, make sure to save the changes by clicking on the “Save” button on the top right corner of your screen.
