How to Delete Purchases From Your Amazon Order History
As an Amazon customer, you know very well that managing your order history can be of utmost importance. Your purchases on Amazon reflect your buying choices, and they can even reveal personal information about you, such as your interests or preferences. But what if you want to delete some of your Amazon purchases from your order history? Maybe you want to clean up your account, remove an embarrassing purchase or simply want to get rid of old, irrelevant purchases. Whatever your reason, deleting purchases from your Amazon order history is actually quite simple. Here are the steps you need to follow.
Step 1: Log in to your Amazon account
Make sure you are signed in to your Amazon account. Then navigate to the “Your Orders” page. You can do this by clicking on the “Account & Lists” drop-down menu in the top-right corner of Amazon’s website, and then clicking on “Your Orders” from the list. This is where you will see all of your past Amazon orders.
Step 2: Find the purchase you want to delete
Look for the purchase you want to remove from your order history. You can use the search bar or filter options to narrow down your search. Once you have found the order in question, click the “Archive order” button next to it. This will remove the order from your default list of orders.
Step 3: Access your archived orders
If you want to completely delete the order from your account, you need to move it to your archive. To do this, click the “Archive order” button next to the order. You will see a message that says “Order Archived”. Now you can access your archived orders by clicking on the “Archived Orders” tab at the top of the “Your Orders” page.
Step 4: Delete the order
Once you have accessed your archived orders, find the order that you want to delete and click on it. You will see a “Delete” button on the right-hand side of the screen. Click on it to remove the order from your Amazon account. If you have multiple archived orders that you want to delete, you will need to repeat this step for each one.
Finally, keep in mind that deleting a purchase from your Amazon order history does not remove it from your credit card statement or reduce your liability. If you are looking to cancel a purchase or get a refund, you need to go through the appropriate process outlined by Amazon’s customer service. However, if you just want to clean up your account, deleting purchases from your Amazon order history is a simple and quick process that can be done in a matter of minutes.
