With the latest software update, the PS4 operating system now includes a range of dynamic and static themes. In this article, we will guide you step-by-step on how to change your PS4 theme.
Step 1: Access the Theme Settings
To begin changing your theme, press the ‘up’ button on your controller to head to the PS4 menu. From the main menu, highlight ‘Settings’ and press the ‘X’ button to enter the settings menu. Scroll down to ‘Themes’ and select it.
Step 2: Choose a Theme
After selecting the ‘Themes’ option, you will be taken to a screen that displays your theme settings. There you can select the ‘Theme’ option to browse the comprehensive list of themes on the PlayStation Store. You can also choose from a selection of default themes, which are free to download and install onto your PS4.
Step 3: Download the Theme
Once you have selected the theme you want to use, you’ll be able to preview or purchase it from the PlayStation Store. If you’ve chosen a free theme, select ‘Download’. If it’s a paid theme, proceed to make the purchase.
Step 4: Install the Theme
Once you have downloaded or purchased your chosen theme, go back to the ‘Theme Settings’ menu. Highlight the theme you have chosen and press the ‘X’ button to bring up its details. From there, select ‘Apply’ and then select ‘Yes’ to confirm that you want to make the change. After this step, your new theme will be installed, and you’ll be able to see it in action on your PS4 home screen.
Step 5: Customize Your Theme
After you have installed your new theme, you can customize it further by selecting ‘Customize’. This will allow you to pick the elements of the theme you’d like to modify, such as the background image or the color of the system icons.
