How to Burn a Music CD in Windows
Burning a music CD in Windows is a relatively simple process that can be done in just a few steps. Whether you’re creating a playlist for a road trip or just want to have a physical copy of your favorite music, burning a CD is a great option. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to burn a music CD in Windows:
Step 1: Choose your songs
Before you start burning your music CD, you’ll need to choose the songs you want to include. You can select songs from your computer’s music library or from a CD or USB drive. Make sure you have enough space on your CD to fit all the songs you want to include.
Step 2: Insert a blank CD
Once you have your songs selected, you’ll need to insert a blank CD into your CD or DVD drive. Windows will recognize the CD and prompt you with options for what to do next.
Step 3: Choose to burn the CD
When you insert the blank CD, a window will pop up asking you what you want to do with the CD. Choose the option to “Burn files to disc”, and a new window will open up.
Step 4: Add your songs
In the new window, you can add the songs you want to include in your CD. Simply drag and drop the songs into the window, or click the “Add” button to select the songs from your computer.
Step 5: Arrange your songs
Once you have all your songs added, you can rearrange them in the order you want them to appear on the CD. To do this, simply click on a song and drag it to the position you want it to be in.
Step 6: Burn the CD
When you’re ready to burn the CD, click the “Burn” button in the top right corner of the window. Windows will start burning the CD, and you’ll see a progress bar showing how much time is left.
Step 7: Eject the CD
Once the CD is finished burning, you’ll see a message letting you know that it’s complete. Click the “Finish” button, and the CD will automatically eject from your computer’s CD or DVD drive.
That’s it! You’ve now successfully burned a music CD in Windows. You can now listen to your favorite songs on the go, or share your playlist with others.
