How to Add Reactions to Texts or iMessages on an iPhone
As communication is becoming more and more digitalized, it’s important to know how to add reactions not only to social media posts but also to text messages or iMessages on an iPhone. Adding reactions is an easy and fun way to express your emotions without having to type out a long message.
To add a reaction to a text message or iMessage on an iPhone, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Open the Messaging App
The first step is to open the Messaging app on your iPhone. Next, you should go to the conversation that you want to add a reaction to.
Step 2: Select/Long Press the Text or iMessage
Once you have opened the conversation, you need to select the text or iMessage to which you want to react. You can select it by simply tapping on it or you can also long-press it to bring up additional options.
Step 3: Tap on the Heart or the Thumbs-Up Button
After selecting the text or iMessage, you will see a reaction menu pop up. To add a reaction, simply tap on the heart or the thumbs-up button. You can alternatively tap and hold on the heart or thumbs-up button to see additional reactions such as a laughing face, a heart-eyes face, an angry face, and others.
Step 4: View the Added Reaction
Once you have added a reaction, you will see it next to the selected text or iMessage. A heart or thumbs-up icon will be displayed next to the text to show that a reaction has been added to it. You can also see the number of reactions that have been added to a specific message by tapping and holding on the added reaction.
Step 5: Remove a Reaction
If you want to remove a previously added reaction, simply tap on it again, and it will be removed from the message. You can also remove all the reactions by tapping and holding on the added reaction and select “Remove All Reactions”.
