How to Add Multiple Copies of the Same App to Your iPhone or iPad Home Screen
Do you ever find yourself in a situation where you need multiple copies of the same app on your iPhone or iPad home screen? It could be for work purposes, testing different versions of an app, or simply for personal preference. Whatever the reason may be, adding multiple copies of the same app to your home screen is actually a pretty simple process. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Get a copy of the app
If you already have the app installed on your device, you’ll need to download another copy of it. The easiest way to do this is by searching for the app in the App Store and downloading a new copy.
Step 2: Create a new folder
On your iPhone or iPad home screen, press and hold the app icon until it starts to jiggle. Drag the app icon on top of another app to create a new folder. Name the folder whatever you like.
Step 3: Add the app to the folder
Now that you have a new folder, it’s time to add the app to it. Tap and hold the app icon you just downloaded until it starts to jiggle. Drag it into the folder you just created.
Step 4: Repeat
Repeat steps 1-3 for as many copies of the app as you need. Each copy will be in its own folder.
Step 5: Arrange the folders
To keep things organized, you may want to arrange the folders in a certain order. Simply press and hold the folder icon until it starts to jiggle, then drag it to where you want it on your home screen.
